5. Jack Simpson
Despite his lack of game time this season, Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe didn't want to let Simpson leave. A bunch of Championship clubs were linked with the versatile defender, yet the 23-year-old remained at the Vitality Stadium. Photo: Dan Mullan
6. Billy Sharp
The striker has a proven record at Championship level and has seen his game time reduced since Sheffield United's promotion to the Premier League. Blades boss Chris Wilder said he would let Sharp leave if that's what the player wanted, yet the 34-year-old stayed at Bramall Lane. Photo: Justin Setterfield
7. Lee Gregory
Gregory has started just one of Stoke's last five games, and Boro were loosely linked with the 31-year-old frontman at the end of January. Birmingham and Wigan were also credited with interest yet the striker stayed put. Photo: George Wood
8. Reece Oxford
Woodgate remained coy when asked about the 21-year-old defender in the middle of January. Speculation linking Oxford to the Riverside cooled after that, and the former West Ham man remained at German club Augsburg. Photo: Ian MacNicol
