Our Boro writer Joe Nicholson has picked out some of the better moments, the not so good ones, the players who performed and those who didn’t in our season review. Scroll down and flick through the pages to see if you agree:
5. Biggest disappointment - Ravel Morrison
You could argue most of Boro's signings didn't live upto expectations, yet, for all the hype, Morrison made just three appearances. A loan move from Sheffield United seemed a low-risk signing - with his ability, maybe the playmaker could excel in the Championship. In reality, that never looked like happening. Photo: Nathan Stirk
6. Goal of the season - Ashley Fletcher vs West Brom
Not really much of a contest is it - although Fletcher's goal against Hull, after an excellent team move, was also something to behold. The forward's strike at the Hawthorns was something else, though, after Fletcher volleyed the ball over goalkeeper Sam Johnstone from 30 yards out. Photo: Dave Howarth
7. Highlight - Patrick Roberts' winner vs Reading
It was relief more than anything as Boro all but secured their Championship status with a 2-1 win at the Madejski Stadium. Roberts' first goal for the club eight minutes from time meant the Teessiders came from behind to win for only the second time all season. Photo: Naomi Baker
8. Lowlight - Losing 4-0 at Leeds
There were plenty of frustrating afternoons and disappointing performances but this was something of an embarrassment. Boro were depleted after several injury setbacks, yet this was as one-sided as it gets. Former Boro frontman Patrick Bamford opened the scoring after just three minutes and the result never looked in doubt. Photo: George Wood
