Boro endured another difficult afternoon at the Riverside as Neil Warnock’s side were beaten 3-1 by Cardiff, but there was also plenty going on elsewhere. Scroll down and flick through our picture gallery to see who shone and who struggled in the second tier:
1. W: Neil Harris
All the talk was about Boro boss Neil Warnock facing his former side Cardiff at the Riverside, yet it was Harris who got the better of his predecessor. A 3-1 win for the Bluebirds means they are likely to claim the final play-off position. They look like a decent bet too. Photo: Clive Brunskill
2. L: Jonny Howson
"Jonny spoilt what I thought was a good performance by him," said Boro boss Warnock after Howson's late red card against Cardiff. The midfielder was dismissed for a late challenge on Will Vaulks and will now miss his side's final game of the season against Sheffield Wednesday. Photo: Clive Brunskill
3. W: Aleksandar Mitrovic
Two more goals for the Fulham frontman in a 5-3 win over Sheffield Wednesday moved him back to the top of the Championship goalscoring chart. The result only compiled pressure on Wednesday boss Garry Monk whose side have dropped to 16th in the table. Photo: Catherine Ivill
4. L: Ravel Morrison
It was a move which always looked like a gamble and simply hasn't paid off. It's been confirmed that Morrison has left Boro after making just three appearances for the club. The playmaker wasn't named on Boro's bench on Saturday as Warnock only named seven out of nine substitutes. “I didn’t think I’d use him today," said the Boro boss after the match. A damning assessment. Photo: Nathan Stirk
