Hartlepool United and Middlesbrough learn FA Cup fate after third-round draw
Hartlepool United will face a trip to Oxford if they can beat Exeter City in the FA Cup, while Middlesbrough have been handed a home game against Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham.
Hartlepool came from two goals down to earn a draw at Exeter of League Two on Sunday and now face a second-round replay at Victoria Park on Tuesday, December 10.
The winners will face a high-flying Oxford side who are sixth in League One.
Meanwhile, Boro boss Jonathan Woodgate will come up against his former club who have recently appointed Mourinho.
Third Round fixtures are scheduled to take place across the first weekend of 2020 from Friday, January 3 to Monday January 6.
Last season Pools were knocked out of the competition by League One side Gillingham in a first-round replay.
Boro were eliminated at the fourth-round stage after losing to League Two side Newport.
