The Boro boss has said he wants to sign three new forwards this summer, following the departures of Britt Assombalonga and Ashley Fletcher.
A handful of names have already been linked with a move to the Riverside, and signing the right players is bound to be crucial in the Teessiders’ quest for promotion.
It’s clear Boro won’t have the biggest budget to spend in the Championship, meaning the club will be tracking players who are free agents or available on loan.
Warnock has been assessing several targets in recent weeks and will want to get business done early before players return for pre-season training at the start of July.
We’ve picked out nine strikers who Boro could target this summer.

5. Josh Windass - Sheffield Wednesday
Despite playing for the side which finished bottom of the Championship last season, the 27-year-old still netted 10 goals and registered five assists for the Owls. Windass is a versatile forward who can play through the middle or out wide. Photo: George Wood

6. Famara Diedhiou - Free agent
Boro have been tracking the frontman for some time and the 28-year-old is now a free agent after leaving Bristol City. Diedhiou's wages could prevent a move to the Riverside though. Photo: Alex Burstow

7. Uche Ikpeazu - Wycombe
Ikpeazu stood out in both games against Boro and opened the scoring with an excellent strike to put Wycombe ahead in the game at Adams Park. The 26-year-old is a powerful forward who is hard to stop when he's dribbling with the ball. Photo: Catherine Ivill

8. Connor Wickham - Crystal Palace
It would be a concern that Wickham hasn't played a competitive game for Crystal Palace this season following his loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday. The 28-year-old will be a free agent this summer and has the attributes to be a handful in the Championship. Photo: Alex Livesey
