Here are some of the latest Boro-related transfer rumours from around the web:
Charlton make striker approach
Boro’s priority this summer is to strengthen their attacking options.
One name who has been linked with the Teessiders is that of Cambridge striker Paul Mullin, who scored 31 times in League Two last season.
Blackburn and Rotherham have also been credited with interest in the 26-year-old, yet, according to Football Insider, Charlton have made an approach to sign the frontman and are now in pole position to get him.
Interest in Manchester City youngster
Another striker who could be on the move this summer is Manchester City’s Liam Delap.
The 18-year-old has impressed for City’s under-23 side and made his first-team debut during a Premier League game against Leicester last season.
According to the Express, Millwall, Cardiff and Middlesbrough are amongst those interested in a loan deal for the forward.
Lewis Wing latest
Finally, Rotherham boss Paul Warne thinks it’s unlikely Boro midfielder Lewis Wing will drop down to League One this season.
Wing impressed during a loan spell with the Millers, who were relegated to the third tier, last term, and has also been linked with a move to Sheffield Wednesday.
When asked about potentially re-signing Wing, Warne said: “If we were still in the Championship and were able to take him on a season's loan I would love to.
"I cannot see Lewis wanting to play in League One, and nor should he.”
