'Miles better than this level' – Barnet manager Tim Flowers singles out Hartlepool United match winner Luke Armstrong
Barnet manager Tim Flowers feels Hartlepool United have one of the best players in the National League in Luke Armstrong.
The Salford City loanee scored his ninth goal in 13 league appearances for Pools to help the side claim a 1-0 win over The Bees at Victoria Park on Saturday evening.
It was an eighth successive home win for Hartlepool against a Barnet side who have now won just one of their last 19 matches.
“We were competitive and worked hard,” Flowers told BT Sport after the match.
“Hartlepool had won seven in a row at home so they're a good side. We started well and had a great chance before they scored. We switched off for the goal and let Shelton get the ball in.”
On Pools’ goalscorer, the Barnet boss added: "Armstrong is miles better than this level, miles better and that goal was the difference between us.”
