@stublackett: “It's the so close yet so far that hurts the most! Had we kept our run alive. We'd have been well in with the top 2!

Been a great season regardless. Let's finish it on a positive note! Not sure we'll get 3rd place. But you never know.”

@Mark_Carroll3: “Now its about trying to finish 3rd and going into play offs with some positive results behind us.”

@RonnieC45027878: “Keeper not good enough. Odusina needs Liddle to hold his hand, said it last season. Molyneux not good enough, proves it time and time again, and need Armstrong playing.”

@AndyMcCormack14: “Just coming into form in time for the play offs. On another day Elliott could have had a hat trick. Today, he should have. The galling thing is Maidenhead were no great shakes. We handed them 3 goals. Our own worst enemy at times. Really disappointing.”

@JordRich97: “Just need to give ourselves a good chance of competing in the playoffs with a mini-run between now and the end of the season, we’ll be back in The Vic to push the lads over the line. It’s been a great season whatever happens.”

@JackAshmann: “Absolute embarrassment that. Couldn’t finish our dinner. I’m sure they’ll be some choice words in the dressing room.”

@hallydesigns: “Fair play to Maidenhead, excellent performance from them today and some well taken goals. We were abysmal and horribly exposed by the lack of Liddle and the change in formation. Awful time of the season to implode but typical of Pools unfortunately.

@RyanPayne3: “Some players massively exposed without Liddle to guide them through the game, big reaction needed! Need our form back ahead of the play offs, in Dave we trust.”

@winno: “Disappointing result...re-group and move on to Aldershot, never say die.”
