Dave Challinor had no major fitness doubts going into the season opener although 17-year-old striker Joe Grey sat out training on Thursday with a niggle.
In the meantime, Pools have strengthened their squad this week with the additions of defenders Ryan Johnson and Lewis Cass and goalkeeper Henrich Ravas. All will be available for selection this weekend, leaving Dave Challinor with plenty of selection headaches.
