Pools have been looking to bring in a defender ahead of their FA Cup first round trip to Salford City on Saturday.

And injuries to first-choice centre-back pair Gary Liddle and Timi Odusina means that any new addition is likely to be thrust straight into the starting 11 at Moor Lane.

And reports from North West journalist Alan Nixon state that Magloire is set to join Pools on loan just over 24-hours before kick-off. The club will have had to register the 21-year-old centre-back before noon on Friday in order to him to be eligible to play in Saturday’s FA Cup tie.

Magloire spent last season on loan at League One side Rochdale but was restricted to just five appearances in all competitions. He has also started two Championship games for Rovers and featured regularly in their under-23s side.
