Here's what our Hartlepool United writer Robbie Stelling made of the Pools players as they gained more ground in the race for the National League play-offs by beating bottom side Truro.

1. George Evans: 6
Hard to think of him having a save to make other than a comfortable catch after Shaun Donnellan made a complete mess of a close range header six minutes before half time. Would have liked more help from his defenders for Aiden Marsh's equalising goal but looked a bit uncertain at times, albeit he wasn't helped by the extremely challenging conditions. Gave the ball away carelessly on one occasion in the second half and appeared a bit unorthodox when punching a ball clear late on, although he also made a couple of decent catches and claims despite the swirling wind and lashing rain. 2. Jay Benn: 6
Other than one or two moments in the first half, wasn't able to get forward nearly as much as he did against Eastleigh. Produced a couple of decent crosses into the box and defended well enough, albeit it was not his most memorable performance. Photo: Frank Reid

3. Maxim Kouogun: 7
Will perhaps have been disappointed not to have taken charge for Aiden Marsh's equalising goal but was generally impressive, dominating in the air and getting the better of the towering Tyler Harvey. Photo: Adam Cook/The Corner Photography

4. Tom Parkes: 7
Much like Maxim Kouogun alongside him, switched off for Truro's goal but was assured other than that and rarely gave the Tinners front line much of a sniff. Photo: Adam Cook/The Corner Photography
