After a goalless first half, goals from Luke Armstrong, Rhys Oates and a Nicky Featherstone penalty helped secure a fairly comfortable away win for Pools.

Mo Bettamer caused a late scare from the penalty spot but Pools were able to bounce back and secure victory to guarantee a play-off place.

Half-time verdict from Dominic Scurr

Half-time: Aldershot 0-0 Pools

45+1: Penalty shout for Pools

Oates goes down in the penalty area but the referee waves away the appeals and blows for half-time.

43: WOW! What a block!

Oates breaks away, dinks the ball across goal for Holohan whose close range strike looked destined for goal only for George Fowler to block the ball spectacularly on the line.

39: Aldershot’s corner comes to nothing as Pools clear the danger

A good header from Ryan Johnson relieves the pressure.

38: Cass heads the ball out for an Aldershot corner - good defending

36: Oates gets a shot away

Oates cuts in from the left before curling an effort into the arms of Mitch Walker from the edge of the box.

Featherstone picks out Oates who is able to bring the ball down and poke it past Mitch Walker before the effort is cleared off the line, cannoning back off Walker before the Aldershot goalkeeper finally claimed the ball.
