Three out for Hartlepool United against Woking as manager Dave Challinor assesses squad with injury update on Joe Grey
Hartlepool United will be without two players for Saturday’s National League against Woking at Victoria Park (3pm kick-off).
Pools will be looking to end a three match draw streak and make it nine games unbeaten with victory over The Cards this weekend.
After drawing 2-2 at struggling King’s Lynn Town on Tuesday evening, manager Dave Challinor is expecting no new absentees going into the game.
Timi Odusina and Lewis Cass serve the last of their respective two and three match suspensions.
On the injury front, only Joe Grey is expected to miss the game. The 17-year-old has been suffering from an issue with his back and is set to go for a scan next week.
“From Tuesday, nothing new has come from that but still young Joe is the one we’re being careful with,” Challinor told The Mail.
“I hope that come next Wednesday, or whenever we get his scan results, that we find out we’ve been over-cautious with him because it’s a good over-cautious if you like. From that, he can get himself back involved.
"Apart from him and a few lads feeling a few little niggles, we’re in good shape. Given the run we’ve had, you expect that but those niggles feel like less of a problem when you’re winning games and picking up points.
"Everyone wants to play on Saturday and apart from [Odusina], Cass and Joe, we have the opportunity to pick whatever team we want and hopefully that will be a team that can go out and win a game for us.”
