Timi Odusina injury latest as Dave Challinor eyes multiple defensive additions at Hartlepool United ahead of Salford City FA Cup tie
Hartlepool United have confirmed Timi Odusina will miss Saturday’s FA Cup first-round trip to Salford City with a hamstring injury.
The 21-year-old was forced off with a hamstring injury 20-minutes into Saturday’s ill-fated National League defeat to Torquay United at Victoria Park.
He has now been ruled out of the visit to the Peninsula Stadium this weekend and will be a doubt for Pools’ next National League match at Eastleigh the following week.
And with fellow centre-back Gary Liddle sidelined for a number of weeks with a groin injury, manager Dave Challinor is eyeing reinforcements.
“[The injuries] leaves us short and we need to look at bringing people in,” he admitted.
“After the FA Cup game, we’ll have 11 games in the next five and a half weeks which is a big ask.
"We obviously need to get at least one player in but it might well be that we get more in than that, though it's easier said than done.”
