Teenagers arrested after three people taken to hospital following Hartlepool crash

Two teenagers have been arrested following a crash in Hartlepool which saw three people taken to hospital.

At around 3.15pm on Tuesday, October 28, a silver Mercedes car collided with two vehicles in Raby Road, near to the junction with Brougham Terrace.

Raby Road was closed and traffic was stopped at Hart Lane from entering Raby Road while officers dealt with the incident.

Police arrested two people at the scene and three people were taken to the University Hospital of North Tees by ambulance. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and has been released under investigation.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and driving offences and has been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Cleveland Police have thanked the members of the public who assisted at the scene.
