Hartlepool United confirm midfielder has contract terminated

The former Cheltenham Town man played a bit-part role under Craig Harrison and Matthew Bates last season and was told at the start of the summer he had no part in Pools' plans moving forward.
And as revealed in the Mail on Monday, Pools have finally come to an agreement to let the player leave.

Hide AdMunns was not given a squad number by Bates when they were announced at the weekend. He had a year left on his Pools deal.
A statement confirming the news reads: "It has now been confirmed that Jack Munns has left the club after it was mutually agreed to cancel his contract at Victoria Park.
"The midfielder joined Pools last summer following his release from Cheltenham Town and went on to make 18 appearances for the Club, scoring one goal.
"An agreement has now been reached whereby he can leave with immediate effect and we would like to wish him all the best for his future career."

Hide AdMunns' departure could free up wriggle room in the summer budget, with Bates keen to set up loan deals for a couple of North East-based youngsters.
Bates' side take on Maidstone United in their National League curtain-raiser this weekend.
