Hartlepool pub The Ward Jackson celebrates Burns Night with food and drink offers
A popular town centre pub is celebrating Burns Night this week with a number of special food and drinks offers available.
The Ward Jackson, in Church Square, Hartlepool, is marking the life and work of Scottish poet Robert Burns by hosting a seven-day food and drink event from Wednesday, January 21, to Tuesday, January 27, to mark Burns Night on Sunday, January 25.
Customers will be able to enjoy a range of traditional Scottish food and drinks to mark the occasion, including Scottish haggis, neeps and tatties and a Caledonian burger.
A Scottish beer, Auld Acquaintance, is also being served especially for the event.

This golden ale from Dumbarton-based Loch Lomond Brewery has light floral and citrus notes in aroma and flavour.
The Ward Jackson’s pub manager, Lindsay Carney, said: “The seven-day celebration is a great opportunity for our customers to enjoy some traditional Scottish food and drink and to celebrate Burns’ Week.”
