Pupils at Clavering Primary School, in Clavering Road, Hartlepool, made their own lanterns to form part of a story trail throughout the school to celebrate the school’s 50th anniversary.
Crowds also gathered to marvel at a fire eating show despite the rain, and helped themselves to refreshments and a raffle in the school hall.
