So will it still be wet for spectators when the players, who secured the club’s return to the Football League by beating Torquay United in last Sunday’s play-off final, enjoy their open-top bus tour between 5pm and 6.50pm on June 25?

According to weather experts at the Met Office, there is an 80% chance of heavy rain when the bus visits Coronation Drive, in Seaton Carew, at around 5.05pm.

By the time it is due to visit Middlegate, on the Headland, at 6pm, any deluge is predicted to have eased with a 50% chance of light rain.

A Hartlepool United fan manages a smile despite the gloomy weather in Bristol last weekend.

Similar conditions are forecast at 6.50pm when the bus is expected to reach the end of its journey in Truro Drive.

Full details of the route are available here and remember to keep logging on to this website for LIVE coverage of the parade.
