Watch as Hartlepool United youngster scores stunning solo goal for Hebburn Town
One Hartlepool United youngster is making a big impact during a loan spell with Hebburn Town.
Hartlepool United prospect Kian Foreman has continued to make a big impression during his loan spell with new Northern Premier League Premier Division leaders Hebburn Town.
The Pools youngster initially joined the step three club in November and that deal has now been extended until the end of the season as Daniel Moore’s side look to challenge for what would be a historic first promotion into the National League North. Although Foreman has made two competitive senior appearances for Pools, the young winger is now gaining invaluable first-team experience with the Hornets and is playing a key role in helping the South Tyneside outfit in their bid for the title.

There was a new high for Foreman and his current team-mates on Tuesday night when they leapfrogged Hednesford Town to top the table following a 3-1 home win against Whitby Town. After falling behind to a first-half goal from Seasiders forward Jake Charles, Hebburn reacted well after the restart as a brace from experienced striker Gary Martin turned the game on its head. However, it was Foreman who sealed the points in the final 12 minutes of the game as he linked up with Martin before embarking on a 50 yard run, twisting and turning past two defenders and slotting the ball home.
Speaking after the game, Hornets manager Moore said: “It was a good goal from us and it came on the break from their corner. It was a brilliant lay-off from Gary Martin and Kian has ran from inside his own half, dribbling, turning two or three defenders inside out and then did well to keep his composure and just roll it into the corner. That’s what we have got from the young lads we have brought in. Yes, they have great attitudes but they also have unbelievable quality alongside that and Kian is a big part of that. That’s why we are so delighted to have him with us and why we want to play a big role in helping him progress.”
What did Daniel Moore say about Kian Foreman’s loan deal at Hebburn Town?

Speaking to The Mail when Foreman initially joined Hebburn in November, Moore said: “I don’t care how old players are because all I want to see is that they will come and give their all and that they want to come and play men’s football with us. We’ve had the likes of Callum West from Barnsley, we’ve got Dan Cameron from Sunderland, now the two lads from Hartlepool and we’ve had players from Middlesbrough in the past.
“Word soon gets around that we will give lads an opportunity to experience men’s football. On the bench on Tuesday, we had four youngsters and myself and I’m 40 now. When we have everyone fit, we have a really young and hungry squad that are willing to back up the senior players and the loan lads are very much part of that. He (Foreman) was very lively when he came on. I saw him a couple of months ago and tried to get him then but Hartlepool wanted to keep him under wraps a little bit. But I think he will be a good asset for us because he’s very sharp, has pace, he’s direct, looks to get goals and assists and he will be a big plus for us.”
