Hartlepool United winger extends loan with Hebburn Town

The Hartlepool United youngster will hope to help Hebburn Town in their Northern Premier League Premier Division promotion battle.

Hartlepool United have confirmed young winger Kian Foreman will spend the rest of the season with Northern Premier League promotion contenders Hebburn Town.

The highly-rated youngster put pen-to-paper on his first professional contract in October and was part of the Pools squad for the FA Cup fourth qualifying round clash with Gainsborough Trinity just days later after making his debut in a league game against Tamworth last season.

Speaking at the time, Foreman said: “It’s amazing. This is my hometown club, I can’t wait to get ready for more. I’ve been with the Academy for quite a while now, I know everyone, and they are all great. The first team have been very good with me, it is really good to keep being around them. It’s made me work as hard as I can. I want to play every week, score goals, and play my football as best as I can.”

However, Foreman’s first consistent experience of senior football has come with Hebburn after he joined Pools team-mate Campbell Darcy on loan with Daniel Moore’s side. Darcy has since returned to Pools and looks set to form part of their squad for the rest of the season - but Hebburn have been trusted with aiding Foreman’s development during the final four months of the campaign as they look to secure a first ever promotion into the National League North.

The young winger has already scored two goals for the Hornets and has been a consistent presence in their side as they continue to battle at the top end of the NPL Premier Division table. The news Foreman will remain with the club until the end of the season is a welcome boost for manager Moore and he has been impressed with what he has witnessed from the Pools prospect throughout his loan stint at the Trustmark Group Stadium.

Hornets manager Moore said: “Kian has made a very positive impact since coming to the club. He has no fear and gives us so much going forward. He is enjoying himself and long may that continue. We have a big second half of the season to contend with and I’m sure he will be wanting to contribute to that.”
