Goals from Matt Crooks, Michael Smith and substitute Ryan Giles gave the visitors all three points on a disappointing evening for Neil Warnock’s side.
There was some positive news on the transfer front, though, with news that Everton’s Yannick Bolasie is close to signing for the Teessiders.
