Two members of the Stags mental health group made and installed a Covid visiting booth for Dinsdale Lodge in Seaton Carew.

It is a simple wooden table with a partition with a plastic window that will allow residents and visitors to be in the same room as each other and even hold hands while limiting all other physical contact.

The home is currently on a strict lockdown with no visitors allowed, but senior carer Claie Dickinson said: “It will make residents really happy, and families.

"It is a lovely gesture. It is our first visiting booth and we wouldn’t have had one if it wasn’t for them.”

Stags is part of Minds For Men and Wellness For Women.

Micky Day from the group said: “If we can help bring a little bit of joy for the home then it’s absolutely priceless.”
