Cleveland Police officers continue to carry out inquiries across Hartlepool after two separate stabbing incidents in the town, which took place just days apart.

The 16-year-old was treated for his injuries at Hartlepool Urgent Care centre while a 17-year-old boy was arrested.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman confirmed on Monday, February 24 that the arrested boy has been bailed with conditions while inquiries continue.

In a separate incident on Wednesday, February 19 near Hartlepool Train Station, a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in an attack and taken to James Cook Hospital.

A 16-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding has now been released under investigation while inquiries continue, police said on Monday.
