Two teens arrested over Hartlepool stabbings are released by police as investigations continue

Cleveland Police officers continue to carry out inquiries across Hartlepool after two separate stabbing incidents in the town, which took place just days apart.

A teenage boy was stabbed in an attack near to the The Sports Domes, in Seaton Carew, on Valentine’s Day.

The 16-year-old was treated for his injuries at Hartlepool Urgent Care centre while a 17-year-old boy was arrested.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman confirmed on Monday, February 24 that the arrested boy has been bailed with conditions while inquiries continue.

In a separate incident on Wednesday, February 19 near Hartlepool Train Station, a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in an attack and taken to James Cook Hospital.

A 16-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding has now been released under investigation while inquiries continue, police said on Monday.
