Middlesbrough transfers: Boro linked with Canada international and SPL midfielder
The latest transfer talk from Middlesbrough as Kim Hellberg looks to boost his squad during the summer transfer window.
Two new names are said to be on Middlesbrough’s transfer radar - according to reports over the weekend.
TeamTalk have claimed Middlesbrough are one of five Championship clubs that have ‘expressed an interest’ in Bournemouth forward Daniel Jebbison - but also warn Premier League newcomers Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City are also ready to firm up their own interest in the seven-times capped Canada international. Jebbison initially broke into Sheffield United’s senior set-up during the Blades’ time in the top flight before going on to spend time on loan at Burton Albion to gain further first-team experience.
A free transfer switch to Bournemouth followed during the summer of 2024 but Jebbison has spent the majority of his time with the Cherries out on loan with Championship clubs Watford and Preston North End. After scoring six goals and providing two assists in 40 appearances with the latter last season, Jebbison’s future is up in the air - although the TeamTalk report claims Bournemouth ‘remain huge admirers’ of the forward and are not looking to sanction a permanent exit.
Middlesbrough are believed to be keen to add to their attacking ranks during the summer transfer window as they look to move on from their disappointing Championship play-off final defeat against Hull - but it appears they will have a lot of competition if they look to move for Jebbison over the coming weeks.
Boro ‘keen’ on Hibs star amid Hackney exit talk

The future of Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney has dominated the early weeks of the summer transfer window as the Boro captain has been linked with the likes of Nottingham Forest and Everton.
As it stands, Boro have not believed to have received a firm offer for their academy product, who has been widely tipped to make the move into the Premier League. However, a MailOnline report appears to have suggested Kim Hellberg is considering a move for Hibs and Scotland Under-21s star Josh Mulligan as a possible replacement for Hackney. The 23-year-old joined Hibs on a free transfer last summer and went on to score three goals and provide five assists in 33 appearances in all competitions during what could become his first and only season at Easter Road.
