Cosgrove has scored 16 times for The Dons this season with seven of those strikes coming in the Scottish Premiership.

The 22-year-old’s form has attracted the interest of several Championship clubs with the likes of Derby County, Stoke City, Charlton Athletic and Brentford all thought to be interested in the former Everton youth prospect.

After being released from the Toffees as a teenager, Cosgrove joined Wigan Athletic but made just one League Cup appearance in between several unsuccessful loan spells in the National League and National League North.

The striker then joined Carlisle United where he scored once in 12 appearances. That is his only goal in English senior football to date as he moved north of the border to join Aberdeen in 2018 where he has established himself as a respected goalscorer in Scotland with 37 goals in 70 games.
