Lee Clark makes three changes ahead of Hartlepool United v Woking
Hartlepool United face National League rivals Woking at Victoria Park on Saturday afternoon.
Lee Clark opted to make three changes ahead of Hartlepool United’s home clash with National League rivals Woking and named new signing Cole Deeming in a matchday squad for the first time.
The West Bromwich Albion midfielder joined Pools on a half-season loan on Friday and he has been named amongst the substitutes for Saturday’s afternoon’s meeting with the Cards. There was one blow for Clark ahead of the game as defender Cam John was ruled out with a dead leg he picked up in Tuesday night’s defeat at FC Halifax Town. Centre-back Max Kouogun and winger Corey McKeown were also missing as they failed to recover from injuries in time to be available for selection.

There was some positive news for the Pools boss as Neo Eccleston returned to the starting eleven after serving a one-match ban for the red card he received in last Friday’s home loss against Eastleigh. Elsewhere, captain Jack Hunter and Chris Popov are back in side at the expense of Jordan Hugill and Jay Benn.
Pools: Merrick, Hunter, McNally, Ilunga, Miley, Harris, Eccleston, Sheron, Nolan, Popov, Gibson Subs: Fisher, Penman, Benn, Deeming, Thornton, Bondo, Hugill
Woking: Jaaskelainen, Asare, Okoli, Ogie, Syla, Ward, Akinola, Dulson, Forster-Caskey, Turner, Marquis Subs: Ross, Odusina, Sohna, O’Brien, Harris, Putman, Akinola
