National League predicted final table: Hartlepool United's most likely final position and champions predicted
Hartlepool United sit in eighth place in the National League table after their 4-3 win against Southend United.
Hartlepool United rounded off their home fixtures in a difficult season with a thrilling 4-3 win against National League promotion contenders Southend United.

The Shrimpers arrived at the Prestige Group Stadium having already secured a play-off spot and they knew a win would give them an opportunity to secure a home tie in the eliminator round next week. However, a brace from Tyrese Sinclair and goal apiece from Alex Reid and Jamie Miley helped Nicky Featherstone secure a dramatic win in the final game of his Pools managerial reign. It wasn’t all plain sailing as the visitors rallied in the closing stages and gave themselves a chance of securing an unlikely point with late goals from Sam Austin and Charley Kendall - but Pools held firm and gave the home faithful something to celebrate.
All focus now goes on Saturday’s visit to mid-table Boston United as Featherstone brings down the curtain on his time in the Pools dugout after it was confirmed he will step down last week. As it stands, Featherstone’s side are sitting in eighth place in the table and a positive result against the Pilgrims will mean Pools will secure their highest league finish since a fourth place finish under Dave Challinor in 2021 led to a dramatic National League promotion final win against Torquay United and a return to the EFL. With just one game remaining in a long and draining season, we take a look at the latest predicted final table from FWP.
