I would like to suggest a number of things that they could be doing within their powers to achieve.

That is, if they truly wish to do something.

Build a British-designed and patented power station.

This would be a small modular reactor at Hartlepool.

A conventional power station on the Wilton site.

Jaguar Land Rover is considering building a new manufacturing plant for its electric car production.

Teesside has the port and skills.

If sponsored and supported by our Government, these projects would provide the quality jobs we need and, at the same time, an increase in energy production that the country needs.

A new major production facility by Jaguar would create long-term employment for all in the area.
